Meet Bando Marah, the driving force behind ChildFund Sierra Leone and The Gambia’s education programs. Under his outstanding leadership, the Education for Protection and Well-being (EPW) program that aims to prevent and respond to violence against children in their homes, schools, and communities, has achieved several milestones, including winning The Connection Award, an internal recognition for impactful initiatives. His work has touched the lives of hundreds of students, caregivers, and teachers.

Marah successfully led the rollout of the EPW program in Koinadugu District and expanded its reach to Bombali and Kailahun, scaling its impact and transforming education outcomes across all three districts. Here is his story.
