In recognition of his contributions, he received the 2015 InterAction Security Group Award and has since joined Response Innovation Lab (RIL) and Sphere as a Sphere country focal point.
Since retiring from ChildFund in 2020, Davidson has focused on organic farming and community development in Sierra Leone. As the proprietor of Big Road Enterprises, he promotes sustainable agriculture and rural development in the Rural Western Area.
He remains a passionate advocate for child protection, humanitarian response, and community empowerment, continuing to make a lasting impact locally and globally.
