Allieu Samuel Bangura is a seasoned Climate Change, Public Health, and Development professional with over 24 years of experience in government and international NGOs. He has held senior management roles for more than 15 years, leading programs in climate change adaptation, public health, malaria, HIV, WASH, nutrition, and gender empowerment.
Currently serving as the Climate Change and Health Rights Advisor at Christian Aid, Allieu leads policy dialogues on climate finance and energy transition, while overseeing climate resilience and health projects. His expertise extends to program design, capacity building, and research, including leading studies on bioethanol clean cooking solutions.
Previously, he has worked with organizations such as Jhpiego, World Hope International, World Vision, and Concern Worldwide, contributing to malaria prevention, maternal and child health, and emergency response, including Sierra Leone’s Ebola response. He has also co-authored research on maternal health, mobile health interventions, and social innovations for child nutrition.
Allieu holds a Master’s in Public Health from Staffordshire University, UK, and is pursuing a PhD at Texila American University. His work has been presented at international conferences, reflecting his commitment to evidence-based policy and program implementation in health and climate change.
